Appointed October 1^st, 2013 as CEO of the Shock Absorbers business line of Magneti Marelli.

The business is headquartered in Brazil with approx. 4,000 employees across 7 plants in Brazil, Poland, USA, India and China for a yearly turnover of ~300M€. R&D centres in Brazil and Italy with application centres in USA, India, China.  Market leader in Latin America with the Cofap brand and among world’s main players, yearly producing over 30Mcomponents.

20 years Automotive experience, progressively covering Engineering, Program Management, Purchasing, COO for different components and technologies: from HVAC and thermal systems to electronic control units, form Powertrain to Lighting.

Over 10 years in the Telematics and Infotainment field, from Program Management up to COO responsibility, managing high complexity Software and Hardware development and integration, production launch and Customer relationship with engineering centres across Italy, France, Germany, USA, China, Brazil and India.

Five years’ experience as Senior VP for Purchasing of the Magneti Marelli group, with worldwide responsibility on 3+ Billion Euro spending for covering electrical, chemical and metallic components plus CapEx and services;  transforming a scattered organization into a single worldwide team managing multiple businesses, cultures and commodities.

I have a degree in Electronics Engineeringfrom Polytechnic of Turin(1992) and executive training with EIPM (France) and the Chicago BOOTH School of Business.

Born 1966 in Turin, Italy, I am married and have three children.   Italian citizenship and mother language, I am fluent in English, French, Portuguese and can speak basicGerman.

2012 – 2013             COO, Infotainment & Telematics

• Managing operations of the Business, with direct reporting to Magneti Marelli CEO.
• Direct management on Engineering, Program Management, Quality and Purchasing:  over 500 employeesand 300+ in-house contractors in Italy, France, Germany, USA, China and India.
• Ensuring business objectives and budget, definition and deployment of the product roadmap, acquisition of market opportunities and Customer satisfaction for time to market and quality.
• Defining manufacturing allocation strategy, either in Magneti Marelli plants or outsourced, managing the relationship with the Manufacturing partner.
• Assuring continuous improvement of an organization suited to manage increasingly complex development programs:  dedicated hardware with both proprietary and open software platforms which integrate self-developed, third party and open source modules.

2010 – 2012             SeniorVice President, Purchasing

• Head of the Purchasing function, organized with central Commodity management and dedicated Sourcing teams in the Business Lines
• Reporting to the CEO, member of Magneti Marelli Executive Council, with functional reporting to the Head of Purchasing of FIAT Group (FGP)
• Since September 2007, while acting as Purchasing VP for one Business Line, coordinated Purchasing for all Magneti Marelli and developed an integrated structure;  the process was completed in September 2010 with the roll out of the current matrix organization covering all Business Lines; this has been assigned as a Senior VP position.
• Purchase yearly turnover of 2,4 Billion Euros direct materials and approx. 1 Billion Euros Capex and General Expenses.
• Managing 470 people worldwide organized by Commodities, Project Sourcing, Suppliers Quality and direct local support to Plants.  The Purchasing team is distributed in Europe (with strong presence in Eastern Europe), Brazil, China, North America and India;  dedicated teams are assigned to overseas localization and low cost export projects.
